Background:
|
Ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all students and staff is a priority of the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District. Our District Affirmation, All Kids Are Our Kids, identifies this priority and, since 2017, has been one of our District Initiatives.
Board Policy 0415, Equity; Board Policy 5142.3, Non Discrimination and Harassment; Board Policy 5131.2, Bullying; and Board Policy 4030, Non Discrimination of Employees are some of the policies approved by the Board of Education that protect students and staff from harassment and discrimination.
Our Board and District staff are committed to promoting equity and inclusion in all District policies and programs. Further, it is the goal of our Governing Board to acknowledge and celebrate the diversity within our District, among both students and staff.

Locally and nationally, June is recognized as LGBTQ+ Pride Month. In keeping with our focus on equity, diversity, and inclusion, Resolution 203/20-21 has been prepared to proclaim June 2021 as LGBTQ+ Pride Month.
