|
Following a request for proposal interview process, staff is recommending approval of ALC Schools to provide transportation for special needs students.
|
|
Background:
|
ALC Schools was selected based on the quality of the proposal and services they provide. In addition to daily school transportation of students in Special Education, there is the need for daily transportation for vocational education, community-based instruction and other service locations to accommodate the individualized educational needs of District students, including students in wheelchairs and students with physical, mental, or emotional disabilities. Our District still identified a need to award a contract for vehicle transportation services and invited interested providers to provide a proposal.

Status

The term of this Contract shall be for three (3) years from July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2024. The term of this Contract may be extended up to two (2) additional (1) year increments, which our District may exercise at its sole discretion.

Fiscal Impact
:
|
The cost of the contract estimated at $2,000,000 per year will be charged to the General Fund.
