Staff is bringing a recommendation forward for our Board of Trustees' award of a contract for the Joe Michell K-8 School Campus Wide Paint Project (Project).
|

Background:
|
Our Board of Trustees approved Resolution No. 129-20/21, Authorization to Bid the Joe Michell K-8 School Exterior Painting Project at the February 2, 2021, regular Board meeting.
The Project scope includes painting of the exterior of existing buildings and associated site elements, consistent with the paint scheme for the new buildings on campus.

Status

Ten bids were received on March 31, 2021. Staff recommends the contract be awarded to George E. Masker, Inc., the firm that provided the lowest cost, responsive, and responsible bid. The bid is within budget for this project.
On April 3, 2020, our Board of Trustees voted unanimously in favor of Resolution No. 051-19/20, Designating Public Works Projects as an Essential Government Function and Delegating Authority to Designate Further Public Works Projects as an Essential Government Function. These projects have been designated as essential government function public works projects.

The recommended contract amount is sixty-four thousand dollars ($64,000.00). This is a Measure J funded project.
