Staff is requesting our Board of Trustees' ratification of the Assistant Superintendent of Business Services executed contract for the East Avenue Middle School Phase 3 Modernization - Buildings A&B Project (Project).

Background:
|
Our Board of Trustees delegated authority to award the contract for the Project at their regular meeting on March 16, 2021, per Resolution No. 135-20/21. Staff requested this delegation due to less frequent Board meetings in the month of April, to maintain the planned essential public works Project schedule.

Status
:
|
The Assistant Superintendent of Business Services executed the contract with Roebbelen Contracting, Inc. prior to the April 20th Board meeting. Staff is requesting our Board of Trustees’ ratification of the executed contract with Roebbelen Contracting, Inc.
On April 3, 2020, our Board of Trustees voted unanimously in favor of Resolution No. 051-19/20, Designating Public Works Projects as Essential Government Function and Delegating Authority to Designate Further Public Works Projects as Essential Government Function. This project has been designated as an essential government function public works project.

The contract amount is eleven million five hundred forty-seven thousand three hundred eighty-two dollars ($11,547,382.00). This is a Measure J funded project.
