Background:
|
|
NV5, formerly known as Sage Renewables, has assisted the District with solar panel installation and Renewable Energy Credit (REC) reporting since 2017. NV5 personnel are very well versed in the industry and are extremely familiar with the District’s solar arrays. |
|

|
Status: |
|
The NV5 Contract for LVJUSD Tarriff Optimization and Shared Savings specifies that NV5 will review the utility rate tariffs at eight solar sites in the District and identify opportunities for the District to switch to a more financially beneficial tariff. If no savings opportunities are identified, no fee is due. If NV5 identifies Tariff Optimization changes, the District will pay 50% of retroactive savings, capped at $60,000, and 50% of forward-looking savings for one year, capped at $30,000. |

Fiscal Impact: |

The contract could incur costs up to $90,000, which will be off set with savings to the District. The contract and savings will impact the General Fund. |

The Superintendent’s recommendation is that our Board of Trustees approve the NV5 contract for consulting services for tariff optimization and shared savings. |
